/ Project presentation

PedoHelp™ is an international child sexual abuse prevention project developed between 2015 and 2019 by the Association Une Vie™. It is based on an active, comprehensive and multi-targeted prevention approach, aiming to act upstream of pedocriminal acts, without anxiety-provoking or stigmatizing discourse.

The project provides a range of information designed to raise awareness and empower all those involved in the issue of sexual violence against children.

/ Challenges

Child sexual abuse is a major public health issue, with considerable human, social and economic consequences. For a long time, responses have focused almost exclusively on caring for the victims, an essential but insufficient step towards curbing the phenomenon.

PedoHelp™ follows a complementary logic: to reduce the number of acts of violence by acting before there is a victim, by offering clear benchmarks, reliable information and concrete tools, validated by health, social and justice professionals, and recognized at institutional level, notably by the Council of Europe.

/ Objectives

The PedoHelp™ project aims to bring about a lasting reduction in the number of child sexual abuse cases by offering people at risk of committing the act resources to seek help and commit to a non-aggression approach.

By placing responsibility, information and prevention at the heart of its action, PedoHelp™ seeks to contribute to a more lucid, responsible and protective society towards children.
