Deze video legt uit dat kinderverhalen niet primair bedoeld zijn om te vermaken of gerust te stellen, maar om de psychologische wereld van een kind vorm te geven. Achter de gewelddadige personages en verontrustende situaties bieden traditionele verhalen een symbolisch kader dat kinderen in staat stelt hun angsten, zorgen en innerlijke conflicten uit te leven zonder ze direct te ervaren.<\/p>\n

Door middel van metaforen behandelen sprookjes complexe realiteiten: verlating, scheiding, jaloezie, wreedheid, verboden, noodzakelijke ongehoorzaamheid en zelfbescherming tegenover een autoriteitsfiguur. Ze brengen essenti\u00eble lessen over: luisteren naar je intu\u00eftie, grenzen stellen, nee zeggen, hulp zoeken en vluchten voor gevaar. Dit symbolische werk gebeurt zonder expliciete dialogen, met behulp van taal die is aangepast aan de ontwikkelingsfase van een kind.<\/p>\n

Kinderen ervaren deze verhalen niet als feiten, maar als fantasierijke voorstellingen, mits ze worden verteld in een veilige omgeving, met een aanwezige, aandachtige en beschikbare volwassene. Het verbloemen of afzwakken van deze verhalen ontneemt kinderen deze instrumenten voor hun denken en psychologische bescherming.<\/p>\n

Sprookjes fungeren dus als een krachtig preventiemiddel: ze helpen kinderen de wereld te begrijpen, hun angsten te overwinnen en emotionele en relationele structuren op te bouwen.
